THIS LISTING INCLUDES: This listing includes 4 PDF's and a 4x6. The first one includes the front and back cover, it is designed for borderless, full color printing which can be done at home or at your favorite copy shop has coordinating pen inserts for RSVP Pentel Pens and 1" circle tabs for marking speakers or sessions. Three PDF's are the inside pages; basically repeating the 2 page spread for up to 43 talks. You can print more or less of these pages and make your journal as big or small as you'd like. A 4x6 is also included for making coordinating matching bottle cap crafts like the 4" paper clip shown.
HOW TO PRINT & ASSEMBLE: Print your interior pages on regular white paper and choose "double sided printing". All inside pages are black and white only (which makes printing much less expense). For the covers, print a front and back for each journal you make. The covers are designed for "borderless" printing, so if you are printing at home - select "photo printing" on your print properties and choose 8.5x11 borderless in your print properties. Most home inkjets and photo printers will perform this function (mine is 3 years old and does a fantastic job). For most vivid color results, use a heavy stock, preferably of glossy photo paper quality. I laminate my covers before binding to increase durability. Printing your covers can also be done at a copy shop. * You can also 3-hole punch and put your journal in a binder.
CAN I PRINT IT SMALLER THAN 8.5X11? Yes! The simplest way I've found to "shrink" a standard PDF is to determine a smaller size that you like and that is closely proportional to 8.5x11. Next, trim your paper to that size first (this is the KEY)! Load it into your printer and when you hit print - in the Print Properties, change your paper size to match the size you want (the size you trimmed your paper). If the paper size you want isn't listed as a size option, you can go into your Control Panel/Printers and in Print Properties add a custom paper size. My favorite "smaller" size is 6x8 (shown in image #5). See tutorial .
HOW TO MAKE YOUR PENS... (Designed for Pentel RSVP) - It's simple! Just trim the strips, curl/roll and insert into pen tube (see graphics for picture tutorial). Then, clip pens to the coordinating strip to hold them in place and use a "Pretzel Stick" cello bag (9"x2.75") to package! Tie with twine or ribbon and attach gift tag! Gift tags can be trimmed with scissors or punched with a 2" round punch.
TIPS FOR PRINTING the 4x6: For best results, when ordering your prints from a photo lab, choose glossy and de-select the "auto fix" or "color correction" option if one is given. Note: Ink from a laser printer does not work well if you plan to use epoxy stickers (works fine with ink jet printers, glossy photo paper recommended if printing at home). Another tip if printing at home - be sure to use your printer's "BEST" quality print setting and set your paper size to 4x6. On mine as shown in the pictures... I printed at home on an ink jet and used "BEST" quality print setting on glossy photo paper.
TIPS FOR MAKING YOUR BOTTLE CAP: After printing, punch image with 1" round punch and adhere to epoxy sticker. Then, glue it to your zipper pull using E6000 glue (it's specifically designed for using with metals), however the fumes are very strong - so use caution, store away from children/pets and only use with care following instructions. I then used the E6000 glue to adhere the bottle cap to the 4" paperclip)
